Mercurial Dawn

The light of the unconscious ignites a higher world

SKUN/A Categories,

We are shaped to hate and fear what we don’t understand and for many times we pursue an instinctive violence rather than rational solutions. Maybe we try to justify that violence when we “demonise” other people, projecting our own flaws into them. This behaviour is not conscious in most of the times but yet, we steal some pleasure from it.

Mercurial Dawn” invites you to meet your own shadow. That dark place within us, we try too hard to keep it buried “six feet under”.  You can ignore, hide and curse that side, but it is a part of you.

“The shadow goes by many familiar names: the disowned self, the lower self, the dark twin or brother in bible and myth, the double, repressed self, alter ego, id. When we come face-to-face with our darker side, we use metaphors to describe these shadow encounters: meeting our demons, wrestling with the devil, descent to the underworld, dark night of the soul, midlife crisis.” – Connie Zweig, Meeting the Shadow.

How often do you question the nature of your actions?

We usually resume our attitudes as good of evil, but if we realise that we are a dichotomy of light and darkness we’d finally recognise we are too complex to be categorised. Nothing is entirely black as well as nothing is entirely white. As soon as we admit it, we reveal the path to confront our own shadow.
